About Me

Hi! Welcome to my website. My name is Desiree and I am a licensed tattoo artist and lash artist.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and found that my journey would quickly take me to Connecticut in my early 20’s. I am the wife to my amazing husband Dominic and the mother to our two beautiful daughters Carmella and Vienna, who keep us very busy!

When I am not working, I enjoy hanging out at home and doing activities with my husband and kids. Every free moment we get we’re either binging a new show, looking for a new craft beer to try, or figuring out which home project we’re going to take on next. In a perfect world, we could be our own version of Chip and Joanna Gaines.

The Backstory

I dove into the beauty industry at the young age of 8, when I would do my grandma’s makeup, french braid my little cousin’s hair for her school pictures, and figured out that I could straighten my hair with my Mom’s curling iron since I didn’t own a flat iron yet. In 2008 I became a licensed cosmetologist and thought that would be my life-long career.

After a few years of going to school and doing hair on and off, I moved to CT while dating my husband. I decided to take a break from the cosmetology world and joined the medical field as a Medical Assistant working for Yale New-Haven Health. I never lost my passion for the beauty industry, so I took a leap of faith, headed to New York, and got my certification in Microblading. After 10 years as a cosmetologist and 5 years in the medical field, I launched my own business in 2016. The beauty industry has always been engraved in my soul. No matter where I thought my career would take me, I always knew my calling in life would be to help others define their Desired Beauty. Which is why I named my business just that. (Although, it probably helped a little that it was a spin-off of my own name!)

Desired Beauty

Women today are busy. We are mothers, entrepreneurs, breadwinners, support systems, natural nurturers and role models. As women, we often put the needs of others before our own. You should never feel that you can’t look the way you want because you may not know the right methods to achieve your beauty goal, or you may not have the time or energy. Whether you are a mom, a grandmother, a businesswoman, a nurse, a student, a cancer survivor, or even a male, I am here to make your life easier one step at a time. My technique is based on your lifestyle. Are you a simple person who doesn’t wear much makeup? Or do you love a glammed up look no matter where you go? I can achieve either look that matches your personality and the way you desire to look.

Having permanent makeup or adding lash extensions are both big decisions to make and I will be sure to help walk you through the process of each service from pre-booking, to booking, to the actual appointment, and then aftercare. We are in this together from start to finish. Once you are my client, I hope that you’re a client for life! I am excited to help you achieve the look that you desire.

XOXO,

Desiree
